With more than 7,000 mutual funds and 4,000 exchange traded funds from which to choose, even the most basic investment portfolio can prove a lot to manage. McCullagh Financial Services is ready to help you through the myriad of choices to develop an asset allocation and investment portfolio matching your goals.
At McCullagh Financial Services, we believe asset allocation (the percentage invested in stocks, bonds and other asset classes) is the biggest factor in long-term portfolio returns. Second to asset allocation is the decision on the investments themselves, the portfolio construction phase. Actively managed funds generally charge higher fees. We look deep into the numbers to see which deserve our interest, or if less-expensive indexed investments may be a better choice. And, of course, monitoring the securities comprising your portfolio is a constant task.
A key aspect of the plan is rebalancing. We ensure your investments stay within the parameters of the plan. Generally, we rebalance twice a year, but large swings in the markets may necessitate more frequent rebalancing. Our securities monitoring alerts us to any “off-cycle” rebalancing needs.
